PRESIDENT'S  MESSAGE

My thanks to Erin and Stacy who came from St. Augustine with photos and brochures about Florida's Birding and Photography Fest next month.  I had no idea the variety of topics covered by their speakers, workshops, events and tours.  It's not just for nature photographers as I had thought.  Please check out their website for more information on this event.

We had over 45 photos submitted for City Hall and they have been turned over to our curator to make her decisions.  Thanks and best of luck to all who submitted. I've seen the entries and I'm very glad I don't have to choose.  The selected photos will be on display at our meeting on the third of April so come out and support your fellow members and enjoy their work.

Speaking of photos, don't forget our exhibit at the Farmer's Market at the Lawton House on April 1st.  Bring 3 - 5 photos to display and help us get the word out about the club.  The Oviedo Historical Society generously provides the space and tent and we provide the art.  I encourage you to bring your cameras and take photos of the flowers, plants, vegetables, fruits, people and the exhibits in the Lawton House while you're there.

We have quite a few events coming up in April and my thanks to those who have volunteered.  But we still have room for more and we definitely need several of you to come out and take casual crowd shots at the Marshmallow Drop.  We will also be taking Bunny portraits with the participants and we always manage to get some of our club members with the Bunny too.

Susan
